The Seeds Are Still Growing. Hatch Community was built to transform generations — through economic opportunity, parenting support, and a village built around young parents. We closed in 2020. But the work never stopped.
Our graduates kept going. They built their own organizations. They continued serving families as doulas, and some in new ways as social workers, nurses and midwives. They all carried the flame.
Now we’re coming back — in partnership with Love’s Pathway, the living legacy organization born directly from Shayanna Love’s participation in Hatch’s 2017 doula training program. Together, we are rebirthing and growing from the community Hatch started.
Our Mission
Hatch disrupts cycles of poverty and nurtures parent-child relationships; transforming generations through economic opportunity, birth and parenting education and a community of support for and by young parents.

From the beginning, Hatch has been about more than programs. It has been about building a village — one where all parts of a person are welcome. Every intersection of identity. Every lived experience. Every nervous system in the room.
We believe that when people are held in real community, across their differences and their similarities, something structural shifts. Cycles break. Generations transform. That’s the physics of this work. And it’s what we’re building again.

Certifying the next generation of birth doulas rooted in community, trauma-informed care, and lived experience.
Postpartum Doula Training
Supporting families in the critical fourth trimester — with doulas who know what it means to need a village.
Nurturing Touch Doulas
Trained practitioners bringing healing touch and nervous system support to families who need it most.
Street Doulas → Community Health Workers
Our street doula program is evolving into a full community health worker model — extending the web of support beyond birth into everyday community life.
